Meet Collin Ball
Collin Ball certainly lives life to the fullest. His days are spent exploring his native Tumbler Ridge and the abundance of exhilarating backcountry. The area is home to a UNESCO Global Geopark, boasting amazing rock formations, waterfalls and dinosaur trackways everywhere you look.
Tumbler Ridge has been experiencing growth in tourism and Collin feels the outlook for his community is bright. The town itself is a hidden gem to the entrepreneur; it’s worth going off the beaten path and checking out all that Tumbler Ridge has to offer. After moving away shortly after high-school, Collin felt the tug to come back home. “I love this beautiful little town. The vast amount of beauty we are surrounded by is amazing,” beams Collin.
On a daily basis, Collin gears up and sets out with his trusty four legged companion Jewel at his side. Together, he and Jewel discover rugged landscapes and incredible wildlife, capturing the images with his SLR camera. When nature tends to head north for the warmer seasons, Collin and Jewel follow the herds into alpine country and spent months alongside mighty grizzly bears, soaring eagles and spawning salmon in the Stikine and Tahltan River territories.
“I have been very fortunate to experience and live alongside wildlife in its natural environment in these remote areas and it is my pleasure to be able to share my photos and stories with you all as they happen,” says Collin.
